Who We Are

About Us

The Clean Energy Steel Construction Center (CES) is an industry-led initiative dedicated to advancing the use of domestically produced steel in the design and construction of clean energy infrastructure.

Formed in 2025 through the collaboration of the American Galvanizers Association (AGA) and the International Zinc Association (IZA), CES brings together leaders from across the steel supply chain, producers, fabricators, galvanizers, developers, engineers, and utilities, to drive innovation, education, and market alignment.

Our Mission

The Clean Energy Steel Construction Center (CES Construction Center) unites industry leaders to champion the use of North American-made steel products across the clean energy spectrum, from solar, wind, transmission, and beyond. By pooling resources, fostering innovation, and working with code-setting bodies, The CES Construction Center accelerates the adoption of high-quality steel products through education, collaborative marketing, and technical projects. Together, we shape a sustainable future for steel products in clean energy.

Why It Matters

The clean energy transition demands infrastructure that is strong, durable, and sustainable.

Steel,  particularly U.S.-produced, zinc-protected steel, delivers unmatched advantages in strength, longevity, recyclability, and carbon efficiency. By working together through CES, the industry can accelerate adoption of these proven technologies and reduce reliance on imported or short-lived materials.

Join the Coalition

Members of the Clean Energy Steel Construction Center have direct influence on the Center’s direction and access to the resources, research, and leads developed through each sub-group.

Join us to help advance the next generation of clean energy infrastructure built on American steel.

Steel provides the strength. Zinc coatings provide the protection.

Together, they are the perfect solution for expanding clean energy into new frontiers.
